Would you like Tim and Terri to come to your community?
Palmquists travel to St. Louis to participate in Operation Save America ministry activities

Terri congratulates Micah, Amy, and Andrew after their baptism The highlight of the week for us was the baptism of our three oldest children, Andrew, Amy, and Micah, by Rev. Flip Benham on Thursday evening. After several young people had accepted Christ at the second OSA rally, Rev. Benham announced that a baptism would be held Thursday night, and invited anyone else who had accepted Christ but had not been baptized to participate.

We had talked many times before about the children being baptized, but for one reason or another it never seemed to work out. But we thought that the opportunity for our children to be baptized by Flip Benham, because of his position of leadership in the pro-life movement, would produce a significant impact in our children's lives. (Several years ago, Rev. Benham baptized Norma McCorvey, "Jane Roe" of Roe v. Wade, after she accepted Christ.)

Micah being baptized by Flip Benham Amy being baptized by Flip Benham We spent some time as a family in the hotel room Thursday afternoon studying what the Bible says about baptism. Then, Tim talked privately with each of the children who had expressed interest in baptism, asking them if they wanted to be baptized, and if so, what they thought their baptism would mean. Tim was confident after talking to Andrew, Amy, and Micah, that they fully understood their baptism as not only an demonstration of the fact that they have been saved by the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus, but as a statement that their old self has been crucified with Christ (Galatians 2:20), and that the lives they now live are not their own, but they belong to God to be used for the purposes of His glory.

Andrew being baptized by Flip Benham As Flip Benham baptized Andrew, he asked if Andrew had anything to say. "I dedicate my life today to the Lord Jesus Christ," Andrew proclaimed.
