Last year, a woman from Texas called us for help.  After taking the RU486 abortion pill, she visited one of our websites and decided she wanted to save her baby’s life.  Today we will have the privilege of meeting the precious little girl whose life God saved that day!

Our little Texan God saved from the abortion pill!

When the FDA opened the floodgates to the abortion pill a few years ago, we began receiving these “abortion pill calls” from time to time.  The doctors we initially consulted about trying to save these babies expressed doubt that it was even possible, and concern that the mother’s life could be endangered by trying to save the baby.

But eventually God led us to a doctor who provided information about how a baby might be saved from the effects of the abortion pill if the mother went through a series of shots.

When the baby’s mother called from Texas last year, we connected her with a doctor in her area, who administered the shots.  About six months ago, her baby was born, perfectly healthy!

We had the opportunity to reconnect with the baby’s mother last week because we received another call regarding a girl (we’ll call her “Toni”) who had just taken the abortion pill.

Toni’s mother (a committed Christian) said that the Lord led her to LifeSavers Ministries’ website, so she called our toll free number to talk to Terri. Terri was amazed to learn that she was from the exact same Texas city as this baby whose life had been saved.

Toni’s mother discovered that her daughter had taken the abortion pill when she noticed that her daughter had some suspicious items (such as gloves to be used for inserting the drugs which must follow the abortion pill).  Toni’s mother then looked for help on the Internet, and she told us that God led her to our website.

This situation gave Terri the opportunity to get back in touch with the mother of the little baby shown above, who rushed down in tears to see Toni, bringing along her little “miracle” daughter to personally encourage her to keep her baby.

Nevertheless, the opinion of Toni’s boyfriend was all that mattered to Toni.   Even after seeing her 7 week baby on an ultrasound screen, she went back to the abortion chamber for a surgical abortion on Monday.

But God used this devastating experience to motivate this baby’s mother to share her testimony.  In a few hours, she will arrive in Las Vegas, where we are participating in a week of pro-life ministry with other missionaries from throughout the nation.  As she shares her story with these missionaries who will bring this story back to their communities across the nation, God only knows the vast number of babies whose lives will be saved as a result in the coming months and years.

Knowing how important it is to spread this testimony, we are paying the expenses of bringing this mother here today even though our own finances and the finances of LifeSavers Ministries are extremely low.  We almost didn’t make it here for this week of ministry in Las Vegas, but God used a significant donation from a retired missionary couple and other signs to show us that He wants us here.  At the same time, we experienced significant opposition from the devil which almost kept us from getting here.
