Those advertisements offset the cost of most of our wedding expenses, with businesses trading flowers, wedding cake, etc., for advertising. Our entire wedding cost less than $1000.<\/p>\n<p>We also collaborated on writing and performing songs during these years, including songs for our <a title=\"Bittersweet memories of our wedding\" href=\"http:\/\/palmquists.glorifyjesus.com\/anniv\/\" target=\"_blank\">wedding<\/a> which set the tone for our life together (such as <a title=\"Created to Serve by Tim and Terri Palmquist\" href=\"http:\/\/palmquists.glorifyjesus.com\/poetry\/CreatedToServe.html\" target=\"_blank\">Created to Serve<\/a> and our own version of <a title=\"Be Glorified as adapted by Tim and Terri Palmquist\" href=\"http:\/\/palmquists.glorifyjesus.com\/poetry\/BeGlorified.html\" target=\"_blank\">Be Glorified<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>This <a title=\"Excerpt from Tim and Terri's wedding\" href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/HrOjkGsxGUk\" target=\"_blank\">nine minute excerpt<\/a> from our wedding features us singing a duet of &#8220;I am Loved,&#8221; emphasizing that we wanted our marriage to be built upon God&#8217;s love, not our own.<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/HrOjkGsxGUk\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>When we sang some of the latest Christian songs in church we sometimes shocked our conservative congregation (although anything we sang was mild by today&#8217;s standards).
